When I received my review copy of The Key to the Kingdom by Jeff Dixon, I had just finished reading a heavy non-fiction title.  I was eager to dive into this book, and it didn't disappoint me at all!

I don't read a lot of mystery novels, but I thoroughly enjoyed this story.  As Grayson "Hawk" Hawkes found clues, solved puzzles, and tried to elude the people chasing him, I was increasingly drawn into the book.  The Disney World setting made it even more fun for me; I enjoyed trying to picture the locations Hawk visited, even trying to remember enough detail to solve the puzzles before he did.  The surprise ending was indeed a surprise for me, and while the ending is satisfying, the author left room for a sequel, if he chooses to write one.

I appreciate that the main character is a pastor who applies his Christian values to every action.  This is not to say that he is perfect.  I also appreciate that The Key to the Kingdom is free of profanity and other offensive content.  My 13-year-old asked if he could read it next, and I have no hesitation giving it to him.

I have only one complaint about this book:  It makes me want to go to Disney World as soon as possible! :)
