You all know I'm working really hard to lose weight. I have my moments where I lose track and wonder why I work so hard but then I look back at old pictures and realize that I have to make the change for me and nobody else. When I first started, I searched and searched for the 'secrets' to losing weight, as if there was something I was missing. I went to see a nutritionist, read several books and even more recently saw two people from the Biggest Loser speak. What did they know that I don't?
These last 30 days, I've been following along with the book 'Fit for My King' by Sheri Rose Shepherd. I was sent a copy to review through Bring It On Communications.
She begins her book talking about all the things you need to know to begin your journey. Once you understand that it's reasonable to achieve a healthy lifestyle rather than the barbie image, you can succeed in life with God's help.
I think this book is great. God is an important part in my life and I never looked at becoming healthy as a way to honor him. Through your 30 day plan, you won't only gradually work your way through the emotional to healthy side but also work on your relationship with Him. It was a little serious for me but I enjoyed it.
